Lisa ChamberlainArtist BioWhen I first saw Lisa’s charming frogs I was reminded of many story time hours with my children who especially loved Beatrix Potter. Lisa shared with me that, as a child, she had an imaginary friend who was a frog. One cannot help but smile while in the presence of “Rides,” a little entrepreneur waiting to take you anywhere you’d like to go. Life isn’t always easy but “Full Basket” reminds us to persevere. The double meaning of the name, “Clear to the Frog” will be apparent to musicians. Born in Utah, Lisa Chamberlain grew up throughout the west. From carving animals out of blocks of soap as a child, to her current monumental bronzes, Lisa is completely self-taught. Her particular gift is to share with us, her audience, a new way to consider ourselves. By allowing the actions of animals to portray human endeavor, Lisa lets us see ourselves with new eyes. © Two Sisters Fine Art Gallery - Heber City, Utah - 2004, 2005. All Rights Reserved. |
