Artist Bio

An established freelance photographer from Salt Lake City, Utah, Jason Christensen specializes in Landscape and Nature Photography. He is a published Artist with images distributed in a variety of venues and formats.

Originally a trained illustrator working in all mediums, Jason ultimately developed a passion for nature and landscape photography. He began shooting 35mm format in 1995, but realizing the powerful artistic advantages of capturing larger images, he now shoots 4x5 large format photography.

As demonstrated by the subject and quality of his work, Jason has profound admiration and respect for nature and our environment. At every photo location, he seeks to capture a unique, perfect image of time wherein viewers can feel like they are actually experiencing the emotion of the moment.

Jason prefers the beauty of natural light in his photographs, using no digital enhancements to create artificial effects. In other words, "what he saw is what you get."

Through photographing nature's subtle light, Jason expresses his own abiding passion for life.
